Gene Starwind: Captain of the XGP, otherwise known as the Outlaw Star, and brash young mechanic. His ego has gotten him into more trouble than he could get out of, but he always came through. His father was killed by Ron McDougal when he was just a child, and he has feared space ever since. Jim Hawking: The other half of Starwind-Hawking Enterprises, the auto-shop owned by both him and Gene. He's the brains of the outfit, his father being a genious computer hacker. He is like Gene's opposite, but in the Japanese version, he refers to Gene as his "big brother". He made quick friends with Hot Ice Hilda and the Outlaw Star's computer, Gilliam. Melfina: She IS the ship's navigational computer. She gets into a little tube thing filled with liquid and taps into the system and gains access to files from defeated ships and the like. This bio-android is unique as she is the key to the Galactic Leyline. Twilight Suzuka: An assassin. She was out to get Fred Lao, but instead ended up chasing Gene. She later became part of the regular crew, and can usually be seen drinking tea. *wink wink* Aisha Clan-Clan: As a Catrl-Catrl, she is a very fierce fighter. She can change her skin for a pelt under the moon of any planet/colony. She's following Gene because she thinks he owes her for ruining her life. Sounds familiar, like Misty and Ash from Pokemon. Fred Lao: Ok, here's the story. This concept completely blew me away when I grasped it. The Americans did not edit out the fact that he is 100% GAY! When he is first introduced, he gives Gene and Jim BOTH five minute hugs, he fears getting married to Rako, the woman he's betrothed to, and he just LOOKS gay! That is all. |
